Repaint Purple to Brown

This room was purple and pink with butterflies when my grandparents moved in. My Granny has a lot of vintage furniture and wanted a way to display it and bring out the best in her antiques she's collected over the years. We decided on brown to bring out most of her western items. The bottom half of the wall was the most difficult, the paint had sand and gold flecks in it making it extremely difficult to roll on the wall. I do not recommend this "sand paint" to anyone however the end result is very desirable. We decided to work with the egg and dart molding already in place in this room and touched up the pinkish tint to a creamy white giving it the crisp look we were looking for. Finishing off the room with a light tan on top to brighten up the space.
